It has been a while since I have looked into the cruise control systems, I put Perfect Pass Pro on my Tige back in 2007. My cousin has a 2000 Malibu Wakesetter he is picking up next week and it does not have speed control. I plan on helping him put one in this winter.

What are his options? Can he install a new GPS system? Does the year of his boat matter? Does he have to install a paddle wheel?

Thanks in advance.

Yes he can install a god system. I put stargazer on an old 04 supra I use to have. It's a fairly simple install as well.

I put a Stargazer on a 2000 Tige 21i and it was pretty straight forward. You need to have a lot of information about the boat before you can order it. You'll need engine type and horsepower, gauge diameter, bezel color (chrome or black usually), and possibly some items I can't remember. The kit comes with good directions and it's mostly bolt on.
