Hey guys. i am having a hard time getting my ballast to work on a brand new boat.. I hear the pumps working but they never overflow, thus I am assuming they arent working..

Is there a way to hook them up to a hose and try to get them to fill?

Is your new boat a 2020 model or an older boat? If it is an older boat, it may need new impellers in the pumps or it may have older aerator pumps which are difficult to prime and often require the boat to be moving to use. Also, each pump may have its own manual open/closed ball valve for safety. Be sure and check to make sure they are all open. They are normally located at the thru-hull

I was able to do this on my system with a fake a lake in the driveway.
It worked well.

What boat??

If it's a newer boat I would assume that the pump are on timers. See if you can increase the time to see if it will over fill the tanks.

Or just pull the fill tube off the tank or bag. Turn the pump on for a second and see if it pumps out water.
