We have a 95 Sport Nautique and have moved the battery under the observers seas (so no size restrictions). Trying to figure out the best size/CCA battery to get.

We currently have a standard car battery about 320 CCA and the 351W turns over very slowly before starting. Also we are just about to install a new stereo system so figured we will keep that battery for the stereo and buy a higher cranking amp battery for starting.

What is the best way to go here - any ideas on set ups and betteries to use?

Cheers

The battery you have now will not last long as a stereo battery. You really need a deep cycle for that, the starting battery you have now will not like to be discharged like that.

As for a new cranking battery, try a group size 65, most should have 550 or more CCA. I have had the best performance / cost out of the Everstarts from Walmart.
