My dad recently winterized his 2005 VLX, but during a recent flood, he lowered the boat off the lift and tied it to the floating dock to avoid the tower getting pushed up through the roof due to rising water levels.

Do we need to rewinterize the boat now? A neighbor said that inboards need to be rewinterized after floating, presumably because water is somehow forced through the intake and into the engine block, but not sure how that would work physics-wise. Anyone have any insight?

No need to do anything as long as the engine was not run.
