Last summer my niece's 3 year old son rode between my legs when they visited and then said that he was going to wakeboard all by himself this summer. We figured that he might get up and ride for a short way but he is simply amazing.

I just had to share this video of his 4th day ever of wakeboarding at the ripe, old age of 4. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Every time I told him what he needed to do to fix something, he simply did it.

I wish my toeside cut was a good as his

Thanks everyone, I am super proud but mainly I'm proud of how he didn't give up.

I couldn't believe how quickly he progressed though. The first day he wanted to wakeboard until he went face first a few times and so after 9 tries and having his longest ride at about 100', he decided it was time to tube. We were totally happy if that was the extent of his wakeboarding this trip. His mom convinced him to try 5 times the next day and that didn't go well so it was back to tubing after only being able to ride about 20'. I don't know what happened between that outing and the next but the third day he was only going to try two times but the first time he got up, he rode about 1/2 mile and had the biggest smile on his face and didn't want to stop.

I talked to him about how to edge and to not lean over at the waist and he instantly changed his technique. It was so cool to watch him go from a little kid that really only wanted to wakeboard because everyone else was doing it, to a little shredder stating that he was going to ride first and then everyone could ride doubles with him. Of course, my nephew and I quickly informed him of the idea of seniority.

As you can see from this picture, he loves wakeboarding!

That was such a cool video to watch! I can't wait to show that to my GF who is terrified of jumping the wake!
