For primarily wakeboarding what throws a bigger/steeper/poppier wake? I heard the g23 because it is a smaller boat but the g25 also has a bigger ballast capacity to make up for it. Anyone know for sure? Also what's the best price you can get on either of the boats when it's used?
Thanks!

Is there a diff between the ballast of a g21-g23-g25? I thought they all are 2850lbs.
There is no diff between the wake you can notice as a medium rider. Both better than excellent.

All 3 ballast systems are the same at 2850lbs. The G21 will have the steepest wake of the 3, then the G23, and finally the G25 which is very rampy with stock ballast IMO. If you are an experienced rider and want to get the wake as big as possible you will have to add quite a bit more weight to the 25 while the 23 you really don't need to add as much.

All 3 also have the NCRS (trim plate) to let the back end of the boat either sit deeper in the water (peakier wake) or give the back end lift when deployed (rampier wake)

G23 for sure. The both come with 2850 stock ballast. Engines being equal between the two, they'll be able to handle the same extra ballast as well.

What about the g series compared to the new malibus?

Are you talking wake or what factors? There is a lot of differences

The G has by far the biggest/best stock wake out there.. everything else needs 'plug and play' filling up all your storage. The G series is about 1500lbs heavier than a 23LSV (which is about the stock ballast of that boat) and still has almost 3k under the floor. Nothing else is close.

G23 is steeper than the 25 , with or without additional ballast. I have been behind the 23 stock and up to 2700 additional, i really did not consider it overly steep even w/ NCRS at the steepest setting. Only been behind the 25 w/ 2500 extra, very rampy

The G21 on the other hand can get very steep, 210 steep depending on the setup.

i am lead to believe that the G21, G23, and the G25 all share the same beam and running surface. if that is the case, then the additional length would move the belly ballast and weight bias towards the nose, forcing the bow down, and increasing the wetted surface at a fixed speed. that would explain why the wake gets rampier as the G's grow from 21 to 25 feet. to counter that, you should be able to add extra ballast to the aft of the larger boats (or drop belly ballast) in order to make their running attitude similar to the shorter boats, thus steepening the wake. all other things being equal, changing the weight distribution should allow you to tune the wakes very similarly.
