I bought a set of Fuel wheels for my F-350 a couple of years ago, and was told by a friend soon afterwards that Fuel wheels had a reputation for cracking. Needless to say, in less than a year I've had two crack. In both cases it was determined to be a defective wheel and not an abuse issue. Anybody else out there having the same issues as me?

Where did they crack? If they were both defective, were they covered under warranty?

Never heard of the brand. Check the weight rating on them though, wheel weight rating is as important as tire weight rating. There are some China manufacturers making 8 lug truck wheels with very light weight ratings. Fine for a mall crawler but not suitable for a truck that works.

Sorry but if you haven't heard of fuel you haven't shopped for rims in the last 5 years.

I've had fuel Mavericks on my truck for 6 month no problems. 22x10 with -12 off set.

Never heard of a checking problem over any other brand

Funny, I have shopped for rims and have bought a couple in the past few years though they were all for my bike restorations. I'm not familiar with any truck using spoke wheels. I have shopped for wheels though and bought 3 sets in the past 5 years. Last set was American Racing AR62.

In any event I couldn't find the Maverick wheel you mentioned, but did see that size with different offset(-13) and it seems some are rated at 3500 lbs and others at 2500 lbs.

Both wheels cracked about a half inch behind the spoke. The cracks were so small they were hard to see, just big enough to cause a loss of air pressure. They were also weight rated correctly.

Cory your wheel choice explains why you haven't heard of fuel.

The wheel you chose doesn't come in a size any bigger than 17". Fuel wheels are "a-little more" up the current styles.

I've had the two piece 22X10 Mavericks with -12 offset on my truck for almost three years with no problem and I regularly carry 1000 lbs of tools and parts in my 2014 Ram 2500.
