I have the original WS-420SQ, something has gone wrong with it, as every time I power it up, it pops the 20 amp in-line fuse. I don't use a head unit, I have a Bluetooth adapter plugged into the Main Input.

If I buy the WS-420BT, I assume I wont need my Bluetooth adapter anymore- but will I need a head unit or can I just stream music through the WS-420BT?

Thanks,
Steve

BT is your source, have you thought about an sq from eBay with a blue tooth remote volume knob or rocker switch remote. Run usb Power to passenger side and have controls for driver (volume knob or rocker switch ) and phone by passenger , or extend power and 3.5 input from remotes to passenger side snd phone for driver

I went with SQ and the rocker switch remote that I’m installing in my led lighted mount from yorkfabs on eBay that also has 3 lit aux rocker switches/bays to put the ws-BT-rs remote into. Your choice of color on LED for mount, im running a default red color system with no controller total price $189 for rocker switch and mount after bid sq’s can be had cheaper on ebay

To update this thread, I installed the new WS-420BT and all is well! No more blown fuses- so the old WS-420 was definitely the problem. I haven't thrown it away yet, might open it up and see if anything looks cooked.

I sure hope you tossed that 20A inline fuse feeding the EQ.
