I have a Chaos Ringer XL that I am loving. But it is far too buoyant for my wife. She really struggles to get up on it.

She has always used "cheaper" boards with a thinner profile. Not really Skim style boards, but older hyperlite Landlocks, broadcast style boards. This thicker, true surf style board gives her fits getting up.

So what would you recommend for her at 115 lbs? More hybrid to skim style.

She rode a phase5 diamond today, it was easy for her to get up, but she didn't love how squirrelly it was.

I'd love for Nick to chime in on his offerings.

Thanks guys

The Ronix Marshmallow would be a good option. Not too buoyant, but more fun than the older skim style boards you mentioned, and they aren't stupid expensive.

I have a 4'4" Nano available that is discounted. It would be a great board.

Otherwise, I would reccomend a 4'2-4'4" Nano or Contender for you wife. If thinking more hybrid is the way to go, then a 4'2"4'4" RacerX.

The wide tail of the Diamond makes it very loose. At only 115 lbs, she would do better on a pin tail.

What fin do you have for the diamond? When I got mine they mistakenly gave me the 2 inch fin instead of the 1 inch. I have both now to trade off, but the 2 inch is stable and you can still break it loose.
