need help. 06 xstar or 07 nautique

We are looking to buy a boat that will do everything decent,The two were look at are a 06 xstar and 07 nautique 211.We like the nautiques but the guys wife is not budging and so both boats are same price.Both have triple ballast and everything else xstar has 6.0 375hp with 160hrs and could pick up today.Nautique has 400hrs and 330hp and will have to drive 1hrs to get.I haven't been much a fan of the pickle fork but do like the ladder since we have a 3yr old daughter.We do everything including lots of tubing.Thanks for your thoughts.

If your "everything" includes skiing, the 211 wins. Otherwise, I'd keep looking. Driving to get it only happens once and you'll never even remember it after you're back. Unless it's across the country, it can actually be fun to make a weekend road trip. Boats in NorCal are not out of your reach and there's plenty of everything there. Good luck in your search.
