I was in Mexico last week and found this boat for sale. I am very close to making this my next project. The the massive 11 liter detroit diesel and some ballast the surf wake would be huge. Just thought I would throw the idea out there. Upload

what's with that 'tub' in the interior? is that a live-well for fish?

I think that tub in the interior should be converted to a Hot Tub. That would provide the weight you would need. Give it a shot. I've seen crazier ideas.

The boat is actually an exNavy troop transport possibly Vietnam. I haven't been able to figure out much more than that. The windshield frame is cast aluminum and the center section slides out, its pretty neat. As for the seating configuration I can only assume its is so low to protect the troops from enemy fire.

Looks like a ambitious project. One of these days I really gotta try wake surfing I've never even seen anyone even do it. Guess I lead a sheltered live in CT.
