running too shallow

hello all,
had a little mishap this weekend, got into some way too shallow water. prop hit bottom, it was a sandy bottom with smaller rocks and stones in it. prop sounded horrible when it started hitting, and then engine automatically shut off and wouldnt let me start it back up again. now in my bilge it looks as though there is a lot of sand in there, any ideas on how it got in there? it kind of looks like chocolate milky also, but I dont see any oil leaks or anything. when i drive the boat it operates normally, doesnt appear to be any problems. no vibrations, and it powers up and gets on plane just fine. should i be worried about anything here? boat is an 2003 moomba mobius lsv.

The only thing i would worry about if sand got into the motor when it got all turned up .... may wanna flush it all

check your raw water strainer (if equipped) and maybe have a peek at your impellar, to check for debris or sediment buildup.. if you had sand in your bilge, might check your shaft seal.. that would be the only logical way for it to come into the bilge, other than maybe an interior or exhaust/ballast leak.. however, you say it is oily in there? bilges are always a little grimy when not properly cleaned and it could just be buildup over time and the sand could be from inside the boat getting into the bilge over time, and this could just be the first time you are noticing it?.. i would clean bilge, check shaft seal and then check all hoses and oil lines/connections.. if you have no vibration and she feels like usual well then, lesson learned that it is not a seadoo..
