I might flip the amps on the bottom over so they aren't upside down! What do you guys think? I would like to be able to get to the controls, but once i get it set i guess it wouldn't matter.

Damn you have alot of amps there. That thing is gonna rock good job. Your going to want to show off a system like that, I'd turn them over for presentation sake.

Nice, I never thought about extending that side. I just made a place to mount them against the hull, but I like your setup it's basicly the same as mine!

I didn't notice you took a picture from both sides. I thought you had 6 amps there. I take it back LOL!

I'm going to move the amps up and flip them(bottom ones)! I think it will look better and it will help me hide the wires! Matt you have any pics of your install? if you don't want to post them just send them to my email. Thanks!!

Finally got some pics of the beginning up but none of the complete setup till mid week. I ended up leaving the bottom ones flipped and the top amps right side up, just so my wireing would look cleaner. It's 2 1000/1's and 2 300/2's so it's like a mirror. The Black and White looks SHARP man!

i think you should have the amp mounted right side up so they can vent right and not over heat. just my.02

Hello Ryan, Very nice. Curious about the Sirius radio. Is that factory installed?

I got Sirius from the factory on my 07'. The dealer gets a free month, and the first owner gets 6 months free.

IMO Rodney P, Just gave you the best advice in this thread. Thoes amp's will over heat if you were to leave them in the position you had them in. It sounds like you are changing them, Thata Boy. I agree they would be much nicer to adjust in the upside down position. Mabey Next time JL will put the Adjustments on the front of the amp or on the side like on you Block Amp. looks good keep going.

Is that a ice chest above the amp's and a drain line at the right side. If so I would insulate the drain line so it won't condensate.

how did you mount the amps to the wall? what did you put under the carpet?
Old     (xaggie)      Join Date: Nov 2002       03-13-2007, 6:56 PM Reply
If I may, Aaron thats the drain for the glove box. I assume they planned on having to drain massive amounts of water from there

Drew that area has a raised section of the fiberglass between it and the surface glass and pass through to the bow. The stock amps were screwed there, so I assumed it was safe to screw there as well.

Nice set up Ryan. Are you upgrading your alternator and or batteries?

I just bought a 2x12 board, and coated it! You'll have to space it out a little so that it is flush with the original panel.

I don't think I'm going to be putting ice the the glove box! I have a 56qt cooler that will hold all my beer!

I'm still working on the batteries! I think i'm going to add one more blue top. All 3 will be in the same spot!
