Watson or Transcend

Ok here's the deal...06 Watson or 05 Transcend can get for about same price with bindings....

have heard the transcend has amazing pop even though its slow...but ive read the watson has consistent pop as well

The Transcend has amazing pop but like you said it is a tank. If you really like a slow board then its good but it can be a tough board to handle. The Watson is going to be more user friendly.

The Watson can track pretty well, and can break loose easily when you want to slide around on the surface. It'll pop really well if you edge correctly. I don't know about the Transcend at all, but I can tell you right now that my only vague problem with the Watson is that it feels like it edges slower than my old substance. However, it pops fairly consistently, whereas my substance would boot me into the air pretty wildly.

Not trying to throw a wrench into the works, but I have the 07 Transcend, took it out for the first time last week, and Loved it. However, I have heard that the 'old' model (like the 05 you are talking about) is a totally different (in a bad way) board. How much are you trying to spend? You can get a brand new '07 for under $200...I've even seen the platinum going for about that.
