Minnesota 2009 Heart Walk

Didn't want to plop this in the middle of the wake event planning, so I started a new thread for it.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm putting together a team for the AHA 2009 Twin Cities Heart Walk. The walk will be on Saturday April 25th at Harriet Island. If you're interested in participating I'd love to have you join my team. If you'd like to join, or want more details post up on here or shoot me an email at jlfogelson@hotmail.com.

Jay, fill me in on everything man, I would like to join, and im making my girl come with me so that is two of us!

I'm checking with the better half to see what our schedule is.

Here's a little more info. Again, it's on the Saturday, April 25th.

Event Location:
Harriet Island

Event Schedule:
8:30 am - Event Registration Begins
10:00 am - Walk Start Time

Depending on the weather and assuming the ice is off the lake, we could maybe do a little wake season kick-off event afterwards up on Bald Eagle. If weather is crappy we could maybe hit up bar or something afterwards too.

Sick, im definitely in, a wake session would be sick as well, and i wont complain about attending a watering hole. I am checking out the info Jay, keep us posted, however!

Good to hear we have some interest. I'm all about building good karma before the summer season All your fundraising and work can be done online.

A lot of the stuff is pretty much done for you. If you enter in email address's of family, friends, etc... Hit send, it will send the info/details and tell people how they can donate on your behalf. It then keeps track of everything of your donations for you.

So I guess I'd encourage you to sign-up online, and then spread the word and raise some $$$.

Where is Harriet Island? And what do I have to do, just walk? Do i donate and try to get people to sponsor me? Thats my 21st b-day weekend so idk what i have goin on but ill be sure to make a note of it especially if theres a chance for wakeboarding involved. And building good karma for the season is always a good idea!

Harriet Island is in St. Paul, just south of down town. Ideally you would make a donation yourself, try to get people to sponsor you, and also walk.
