I was thinking about this event the other night. What do you guys think of an Event called "The Board Meeting" This would be a seminar where you can ask questions to Board Companies, Boat Companies, The WWA, World Sports & Marketing, Pro Shop Owners, Online Stores, International Associations, Clothing Sponsors, etc. Questions can be directed to any of the above. What's the purpose? The purpose would be to determine the state of wakeboarding, what's the future (gas prices, boat prices, board prices, public lakes closing, etc...). What you think of the current Pro Tour Format vs. the older "wake only" format. The list goes on and on! Give your feedback

great idea.. however, they already exist in the form of your annual boat show(s).. it might also be hard to get some of these companies to commit to a forum where the pretense could be misinterpreted as the current downward spiral of their respective industries.. then again, most manufacturers are always open to feedback and ideas from the consumer.. however, i don't think these industries are feeling quite this perilous right now and they usually have a pretty good grasp of the pulse and state of their current products by pro feedback and sales figures.. they usually change what is not working on their own imo..

Personally, I think this is something that sounds good in theory, but in practice could never happen.
I think it's a bit idealistic. I put together a relatively small wake event every year, and the politics I have
to deal with and juggle for just my little event is ridiculous. I just dont see an industrywide
forum/board meeting/focus group/Q&A session/panel discussion/state-of-the-industry meeting as a realistic possibility.
Cool idea for the right reasons, but from my little perspecive, highly unlikely.
