Man I'm irritated, i just got off the phone with Delta prop and they said running either of these props (acme 1235 or 1273) will have clearance issues with the rudder. What?!? I've heard tons of people running these props with maybe a clearance at the trailer ( area directly under the prop ). I've waited 4 months to order this and now I hear this crap, wtf.

Yeah I called Acme and talked to their rep and he said he has been getting feedback from the Supra dealers that the 1235 prop the clearances are way to tight and the props could contact the trailer when putting the boat back on the trailer. He said one option is to jack up the pads that the boat rests on or just go with a different prop 1833 which is a 1/4 in. smaller (14x14.25). There can't be that big of a difference, performance wise, from 14.25x14.25 to 14.0x14.25. And the smaller prop is about $70 cheaper.

Supra runs our 14.25 X 14.5 LC 1 1/8" FUSION 4-blade with no rudder clearance issues.

Ej any pics I just wanna see where I might run into problems.

Slaunch that's the prop they want me to use. How do you like it. Any problems pulling a full boat?

I have tested the 14.25 X 14.5 on the 21V with no issues at all with clearance to the rudder. We have been running this size for several years on the Supra's. Some of the older boats have had issues with trailer clearance but no issues with rudders. The 14.25 X 14.5 FUSION performed better in recent testing with Supra/Moomba against the the smaller Acme 14 X 14.5 as well as the 1235. The reduction in diameter does hurt the performance while the boat is loaded.

Ej what kind of cup is on the prop? I was hoping for the .120-.150 range.

Eric I just checked the spec sheet for the 475 and it says the cup is .090. Is that right or is it .120? I'm really interested. Im ready to order today. These are the ones i'm considering:

Acme 1273- 14.5x14.25 .150 cup

Acme 1847- 14.0x14.25 .150 cup

OJ 475- 14.25x14.5 .090 or .120

I have not put mine in the water yet. Acme said if I was not happy with it to just send it back and they would get me a different one out. My OJ was a 13.7x17.5 and the new one is the Acme 14x14.25 with the 150 cup so I'm sure it will be a huge difference. The boat did fine with the old prop but with the sacs full it was slugish out of the whole. Supra offers an Oj wake board prop as an option it is a 14x14.25 with a 105 cup though. Acme said the 150 cup should produce more thrust then the 105.

The propeller offered by Supra is the OJ 14.25 X 14.5 LC 1 1/8" FUSION 4-blade, the cupping is at .120.

I was just going by a chart I looked at on the OJ site. I guess I looked at the wrong one or got mixed up.
