Didn't have the back strapped down LOL

We all know that would have saved it.

Reminds me the time I saw a big Arse truck pulling a smaller fishing boat with no rear straps. Front strap must have snapped or not been connected. Jackwaggon floors the truck from a stop and it was like pulling a tablecloth out from under a place setting. Boat did not move as the truck and trailer took off and dropped right to the street. We were in tears laughing.

Somebody sent me that via text. Almost happened to me the other day. 18 wheeler locked up all wheels in front of me, glad my truck and trailer brakes worked!!

Former pro rider Dave Briscoe had this happen a couple years ago.

I rear ended someone about 35 mph coming back from the lake last year. All the straps front and rear were secure. Somehow the boat ended up in the back of the truck. I wouldn't trust the rear straps to old 4000-5000lb boat for a second.

I really don't think the transom straps were designed for a collision at 35mph. More like they are for keeping the boat on the trailer during NORMAL driving and keep the boat from shifting on bumps, going up steep grades or boat ramps, or trailer tire blowout. 35mph collision with a stationary object might be a bit much.

Ummm is that the winch and winch support still hooked to the boat??? Looks like it ripped that sucker right off the trailer.

Sorry guys, I called Tow Boat US but they gave me the run-around. Some BS about how it's apparently "impossible" for them to tow a boat off the highway. *******s.

Probably an F150 Ecoboost owner saying, "you see babe, you can't even feel the boat behind this truck"

Reminds me of the wake outlaws thread where they lost that 24' centurion.
Anyone remember the boat carnage thread a few years back? That was some good entertainment.

I saw this boat in Austin a couple years ago. The boat is cut into by the telephone pole. Looked like they didn't have the boat trailer locked down on the hitch.
