Has anyone here used one or know anyone that has?? Just trying to see how they sound and if they hold up.
By the way I know that WS, Alpine and JL make great amps but I am trying to find something really efficient and small for an ATV project.
thanks guys.

Little quote from the product description.

"Class G/H amplifiers are 30%-50% more efficient than class D amplifiers" LOL hahahahahaha.

"very flexible in watt it can be used for" Whoa...

So im taking it that none of the above posters have heard or seen one in person then.
Has anyone actually had any experience with these?

Sorry Shawndoggy, your post went up as I was typing mine. Thanks for the info.

A couple of issues that come to mind.
The mini Class G/H amplifier platform would be fine for an ATV or UTV or small two-seater sports car application. No way is it going to run tower HLCDs or be sufficient for most in-boat systems. Its an Arc Audio 'lite'. This is a supplemental amplifier product and not deserving of the primary product status. If you'll notice Arc Audio has elected to go with Class D on its newer smaller chassis products. Wetsounds only uses a single mini for ATVs and bow speakers. So at a time while many who are in the know are abandoning this smaller platform, someone is jumping on. The overseas plant certainly isn't going to decline the business as the demand is shrinking.
You can bet that there is a 20 percent increase in 1kHz power versus 50 Hz power. So you will not get the rated power across the entire audio bandwidth.
Class D is more efficient than Class G/H and not the inverse so all credibility is automatically out the window. A total misrepresentation.
The quality of the green barrier strip raises an issue. That stand alone part is definitely cheaper and cheezy. Not a part I want to rely on in an environment with lots of shock and vibration. Maybe okay for a display board. Makes me wonder about the tolerances of all parts.
At this point I would probably be looking at the new Alpine MRX fullrange Class D series at close to those price points. Smaller. Honestly rated. More efficient. Still very affordable. Easy to service if ever there was a need.

David,
Thanks for the information. It is so nice to have someone give actual facts about products.
I was just looking for something really efficient to power some coaxials but on a very tight budget. Now I see that at any budget, these will most likely not fit the bill.
thanks again.

They look like arc mini clones, same as the vibe litebox, elf mini, roswell, and cousin to the two channel wetsounds syn micro.

some discussion of the shared architecture of the arc, wetsounds, and elf amps here: http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...guts-pics.html

and here is a discussion of the vibe litebox / arc mini shared architecture: http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...i-clone-3.html

Haven't seen anything specifically about the krypt amps, but given the form factor, the claimed specs and the layout, it sure looks like yet another arc mini knockoff.
