1996 Sanger V210 Good Deal?

Still searching. I came across a 1996 Sanger v210 with tower for wakeboarding for $16500 That seems like a lot more than its worth. Its super clean but 450 miles away. Does that sound right? I was thinking 11-12k.

That seems like a lot for a 96. Sangers do age like a fine wine tho.

and in 96 the mercruiser black scorpion really has 330 hp

What kind of options ie tower, custom ballast, pp,racks stereo , engine?

99-00 SANTE ,MC Xstars and Bu vlx's are all gonna run low 20's

Super sports and 205v's high teens.


So to me 16k is right in ballpark assuming it has minimal tower, ballast and pp. While Sanger may not be a big 3 their boats are still rock solid bombproof boats quality wise.

Unless that boat is loaded and super clean $16500 is too much this time of year. Loaded meaning: Perfect Pass, ballast, tower, racks, bimini, upgraded stereo, cover, etc. I'm thinking more like 13-14K.

For reference I bought a 1998 MasterCraft Maristar 230(X-30 hull) in late August. Super clean with Tower, clamping racks, bimini, huge stereo, LT-1 Engine upgrade, etc for just a little more than you are talking.

^^but maristars are big sloppy pigs with horrible wakes. V210 is a small lil race at that throws a great wake. But I'd say 15k cash will take it

it may pull that if loaded and clean, the hours aren't through the roof and in peak selling season (spring/early summer)

I think I know which boat you are looking at. There are two 96's on CL right now. One has the Proflight tower, the other has a funky looking tower but the boat looks really clean. Both have the Black Scorpion which is nice because you get the flatter sun pad. If both boats are fairly comparable, I would go for the one with the Proflight tower. IMHO is just looks a lot better. I don't see many V210's listed for under 15Kish if they are in good condition with the Proflight tower and Black Scorpion.

There is a 2005 V210 with the 350 MAG listed for $18.5K right now but it has the hump in the sun pad because it doesn't have the Black Scorpion. You get the full wrap seating in this one without the cup holders in the corners like the pre 2001 V210's.

There are a lot of V210's on CL right now in NorCal for this time of year. Buyers market.

Larry, you are correct about boat im looking at I just looked at the other one you are talking about. Much nicer tower. Ill have to contact them. Thank you everyone for your responses.

V210's dont depreciate. Great boats, go the scorpion if you can. They dont really have any flaws to look out for but the proflight is the way to go if you can get one with a proflight.

Correct...Sanger=Flawless....only a bad owner can screw one up but they gotta try hard
