i know it's been done a lot lately, but now i know how the other people feel...naming a puppy is hard!

she just arrived on Monday, and we're having trouble deciding on a name. she's an 8 week old American Bulldog.

Give us some clues - people names, wakeboarding names, personality, other interests, etc.?

beautiful bulldog! Jealous.

first thing that came to mind when seeing her is "Patches"

It doesn't really matter what type of name (human, pet, wake, etc...), we're just looking for something unique I guess. Personally, I kind of like the names that are something along the lines of: Makai, Kai, Kaya/Kaia, etc.

"Patches" is kind of cute.

We've been trying to figure out a name for the past month and a half, lol. Now that she's finally here, I decided I don't really like any that I had previously thought of.

Here's a bunch of names like the ones you like - they have the meaning listed, too. You might find one you like there...

thanks for the input everyone! Lizrd, we like a lot of the names on that list you provided. hopefully we'll have something soon. otherwise the name "Puppy" will just have to stay with her

Jay, You have only had her for a few days. The right name will come along. Probably when you are not trying so hard to find it. I had my dog exactly one week before we decided on the name. No one else understands the name But it has a very special meaning to our family. For that reason alone, it is the perfect name.

Decided on Ally...and yes, she is clumsy especially when it comes to her jumping! lol, she tries jumping on the couch and ends up falling over.

Darla would have been nice.
Being that was an american bulldog in the "Our Gang" shows and Darla was the one girl Alfalfa was in love with.

Darla woulda been cute too! Of the thousands of names for dogs I came across I don't think I saw Darla! Stickin' with Ally though (I've changed her name probably four or five times over the past week lol). I'll have to post pics of her out on the boat this summer! Hope she'll like the lake a lot! Cross your fingers :-)
