I bought a set of 08 Murry boots and they feel great except for when I pull them real tight. There is a place on each side of my shin that gets a little painful after a full ride. Anyone else have this problem?

Byerly bindings have the same problem.. Seems like a pretty clear problem Hyperlite was going to face, I wonder why they didn't change the lining design.

consider wearing socks. i know sounds gay but i have several in my crew that had to wear them to keep the boots comfortable.

Any way to speed up the process?

Murray is wearing socks with his this year. I have worn the neo ankle brace sleeves in the past and they help smooth out all the pressure points. I have the 08 Murrays and they have gotten progressively more comfy over the last 5-7 sets.

Maybe I'll put on some socks and wear them around the house for a couple days then.

why do people buy boots that hurt? there are so many boots out now that feel amazing striaght out of the box. 3-4 years ago you had to settle for what was the least uncomfortable but now we can choose what is the most comfortable (someone on here said something like that a little while ago. i just like the way they put it)

Well a lot of riders dont have a local shop to go try bindings on, so they dont get to try them out before they buy.

I've worn them for two hours now with socks. I think my feet will have to adjust to the boots before the boots will give in.

innov8 is right, some of us have to rely on online reviews to decide on our purchases.

I think ppl in cali and flordia are spoiled with soo many shops that carry stuff that sometimes its hard to realize theres a lot of ppl who dont have shops in almost every town.

Anyways ive ridden a brand new pair of murrays which hurt exactly where you said and i have ridden a broken in pair that i had no issues with.

A HL guy told me a lot of ppl just make the upper portion way too tight so it makes the tongue dig into you.

You can always try a warm bath of water and just keep flexing the boots. Also, try wearing the boots around your house just like you would do with snowboard boots.

have had them in black and white and its not that they wear outits that a major function of the boot will break like the strap across the anckle or the boot seperate from the foot bead and rip out the stiches.. but as log as hl keeps replacing im gonna keep breaking them and getting new ones. i realy hopr that this will be my last pair and wont have any problems with them because it will ruine a weekend real quick

I have worn mine now 5 times......the tongue is no longer an issue. The thing I like about these boots is your foot has not even a millimeter to move.....its like your glued in.
