Hi All,

Been a while since I've been active, sold my Sanger V210 to a lovely family, and have regretted it since. Getting into another boat hopefully for next season but will see.

I've been kind of infatuated with the Supreme line for a bit, esp the S238 and 226. i found an 16 S238 that looks to be a decent buy but wanted some flaming hot opinions. I 've also found a couple Sanger V237's for even better deals a 2012 and a 14. The quality on my Sanger was terrific and it was the little engine that could. Threw a great wave for the size and price, stayed dry despite the freeboard, looked sexy, smelled of elderberries.

Also hunting the Moomba's but they are all over the frickin map as far as price and value go. I'm not averse to anything but would like it to be less than 5-6 years old ideally. A surf system of some sort would be nice, but I think a suck gate and displacement do as good a job as many older systems.

You guys are the best.

I got a 2016 Sanger V215 had it outfitted with the trim/surf tabs when I bought it new. Awesome boat built like a tank and handles like a sports car on the water. The Sangers definitely have that special craftsmanship feel ..BUT.. I am already making moves to sell it and order a 2019 MOOMBA probably a CRAZ. Hearing nothing but big hype about the 2019's and what their doing. We are surfing a ton more and I am looking for a more free-board going boat just something heavier and more surfability tech in it. Sanger is building that 212 more of a Surf boat its a sweet ride but still for the price they ask for it compared to the competition its just not there bow is small as well I thought. I am sure my Sanger will find a great home it gets compliments almost every boat launch i'm at their sleek boats just lacking some things that the market competition has right now.

Small bow = bigger cabin. Hope Sanger offers some sort of surf system for '19. they have the rear tabs, but it doesn't delay convergence like other offerings. Super solid boats with great value, but they need to do some catching up.

I remember when Moomba's sounded like you dropped a tackle box as you crossed a wake. they may be built better these days, but that's how I remember them. and that stupid kangaroo on skis. would love to see what the hype is all about.

Yeah in a few weeks im hoping to see what all the hype is about will be taking a new one out for a spin. I can see the old generation ones being like the tackle box description. Ive even heard few comments from people saying the '19 Moombas feel like quality close to a malibu. We will see...

If you are looking at a coupe year old used I’d go to the 237 or maybe one of the Supemes ahead of a Moomba.
They’re solid for surf and wake. Both handle rough water well. For me, I’d stick with Sanger as the nicest handling.
Good luck.

I'd look for a 237 as well. My 230 has been solid
