Sweet Moomba! Love seeing some of the older ones still out there and killing it! Thanks for sharing!

Doing great, have you considered having it wet sand and buffed? I bet you could have that paint nearly restored with a day's effort.

A lil update. Took the decals and tower off, which is for sale btw with Bimini. Getting bracket machines next week to mount my rev 10's on behind the back seat. No more dropping tower for the bridges!

Def looks better with no tower but what are you going to do with all the mounting holes ? I am so on the fence about getting a tower as there is a million reason why I should but in all honesty they look so much better with out them .
Old     (Redheadd)      Join Date: Apr 2014       04-26-2016, 1:01 PM Reply
Maybe just put stainless bolts through them,I dunno. To be honest don't really care about them. I was gonna use the back footing for my rev 10 mount but Bimini ruined that for me. We put so many hours on our boats functionality takes priority over anything else.

Two Tow boats ago (just like saying that) I had an 01 Moomba Mobius LSV that had low low low hours, a bit faded interior that I picked up for $19k, added a new bimini, some DIY tower speakers and built the enclosure for the W6-12" along with a couple of Kicker amps.

The boat's fit and finish wasn't as nice as an '01 Team Edition Natique that I had previously, but I Loved the way that boat ran and the wake that it threw.

I did add an all new ballast system and a SeaDeck swim step cover, but was still under $25k.

Paid $27 two summers ago. Seemed like a deal to me. Really like the boat rides great in the chop.

Sorry for the late response I lost track of this thread.

Thanks. It is a Mastercraft ZFT0 tower from a 13 X2. I got it for a great price and had to have it narrowed to fit my boat.

I purchase this 2003 Gekko Revo 6.7i for $9500 CASH. The interior was rough as it had been sitting outside for 2 yrs. The engine only had 250hrs on it at the time of purchase.

Trailer Had a bad tire!!

And the vision begins

Interior was weathered and torn in many places

As you can see here when I removed everything

The Stereo in my opinion is one of the most important pieces to any build...RF Power 2600watts

Picking My pallet

Building all the new seat frames

Updating the boring walls of the boat to something a little more modern and cool

creating the walls using the shape of the old wood and adding the openings for my ideas

I always put my ideas and vision to paper first!!

I loved the black plastic inserts under the cup holders...its all about the small details

putting the box together that houses the cup holders and the massive 8" RF Marine Speakers

I had to add the lime green flare!!

Putting the wall together.....The look turned out awesome and will match the interior perfect

Built a box for 2 P3 10s to go under the passenger seat stowage area....fits nicely

Also Added a wall for the RF Marine 10" Subwoofer for under the Starboard side dash and a NICE Steering Wheel Upgrade

Had to update the old Instrument Panel

Time to take out the ol sewing machine..

Sewing together the new interior using the new vinyl and old patterns

And VOILA!!!

THE NEW INTERIOR IS BANGIN'

Windows with LIMO TINT

WRAP I designed just came off the printer....the detail is PERFECT!!!

Soldering and Installing all of the LED's throughout the entire boat and making LED speaker rings for the RF 8" TOWER Speakers

Bottom Half of the wrap is installed and ready for the LAKE...will finish the rest before summer hits

SUMMER 2016

Got the boat out a couple of weeks ago to test the TOWING of my new toy the "SILVERBACK"

BOAT WILL BE COMPLETELY FINISHED BY MARCH....ILL POST THE FINISHED PRODUCT WITH THE TRAILER PAINTED, NEW WHEELS AND THE TOP HALF OF THE WRAP INSTALLED...

TOTAL INVESTED IS WELL UNDER $25,000 BUT WORTH THAT NOW!!

I'd love for this thread to be revived for the upcoming season. As much as I enjoy watching other people spend tons of cash on newer, expensive boats, I feel like there's something special about seeing these budget boats still on the water. Warm weather can't get here soon enough!

AWESOME! I remember sitting out on the edge of the dock as a young boy watching those boats go by they were practically brand new then but just seems like yesterday. That era of boats got me addicted to it ever since... the rumble sound they made every person on them with smiles! Good find

Thanks! When I first got into wakeboarding (1996 or so), I remember a guy in my neighborhood had a 2001 and a brand spanking new Flight 69 board. I was so jealous. I thought we might feel a little cramped in this boat but we really don't. Despite a few issues (worn out distributor, carburetor rebuild, riser leak), it has been totally worth it. It's so easy to work on, and the community of people who have expertise and sell parts for older Correct Crafts is amazing.

Love this thread!!!

Picked up this 01 Calabria Pro V one year ago for $12,500 with right at 500 hrs.
I added a sub and 3 amps with lights front and rear and underwater lights. Has the factory ballast as well which is nice. Boat before this was a Ski Brendella and my dad had an older Calabria direct drive so I had to drive 10 hours one way for this guy. Absolutely love this boat. Plus I have had 15 people in it with no problem which is a plus. Plan on tinting window and doing different tower speakers this year.

Here is my 2001 Sky Supreme. I drove out to southern Oregon to pick this up. I really wanted a V drive but they were a little out of my range at the time. I should've have bought in May but oh well. I had a ton of fun with it over the summer.

You pick that up in Klamath falls? I feel I saw that boat there

Actually yeah I did get it from there. I wouldn't say I necessarily got it for cheaper than I could've bought something a little more local, but there was nothing I liked locally. Plus going to pick it up was a fun adventure, and now that I have it here it's probably the only one like it in western Canada.

I know exactly what street that was on too. Drove by it all the time. I always thought that was a sweet boat. Its fun being different

It's been a great boat for me, and I'll be sad to sell it. But it's looking very likely that I'll be picking up a 2007 Centurion Avalanche as a project, there's a separate thread going about that boat. So I'll be happy to have such a nice boat with all of the features that come with it.

If you are shopping for a cost effective ride, got my '04 Centurion with extra ballast, PP for just under $25K.

Im back!! Trolled the 2021 Boat thread as this thing is showroom quality. 476 hrs and all stock original. Thiught Id be in G23 or Ri or Fi but with only 2 months to surf couldnt justify monthly payments for it to look pretty in someones shop.
