Im going to be hittin up owc this thursday with my dad and I was wondering how difficult the sliders are to hit. My dad and I are alright riders and the sliders look pretty do-able. Also online and on videos they look mad easy but its always pros that are riding them lol.

you will learn really quick... one tip though if you've never rode the cable before.... you WILL be extremely sore the next day, so if your planning a trip, dont plan on doing a whole lot day on day two...

if you've never ridden a cable before the turns can be tricky... get used to it on the big lake first... then hit the sliders... the table top is where i would recommend starting out it's fairly easy even for beginners.

It's not too hard, and a lot of fun. Like Jessica said, be ready for the turns (stay between the balls). On the rails & kickers, make sure that you are flat, and completely off edge when you hit them, weight centered on your feet, and handle low to the hips.

Yeah, you get sore, pull is more vertical than behind a boat.

If you have any questions just ask the guys running the cables. I know some of them and they'll be more than willing to help you out. People ask them for help all the time, so don't think they're gonna laugh because you're not a local.

My one tip would be to make sure you really keep your knees bent when you hit the slider or tabletop. Try and absorb the impact. I learned the hard way by hitting the sliders too stiff legged and got bucked for quite the ride a couple of times.
