My riding buddy just got a new '13 Slingshot Lyman, and we compared it to my '12 version, and the '13 is quite a bit different in the bottom features. Also the board is thinner. Main differences we saw were;
-full length "rail" or edge is not as deep and stops in the middle of the board
-end "molded" fins are not as deep (know they are machined into the core on the SS)
-'13 board is noticeably lighter (probably due to thinner profile)
Has anybody else compared a '12 SS Lyman to the new one? What effect on the board will these changes have? Just seems that the board will not feel as 'locked in" on edge? I haven't ridden it yet, but watching my buddy, looked like the board is looser when transistioning to the wake.
