Well, i would def. look into some gas cans for the summer for people that fill up on the water....I had to fill the boat up for one more session on sunday at Don Pedro. It was 4.29, cheap for on the water right? After i asked the guy when its goin up he said, "expect it around 5.20-5.40 on Wends." Ehhh! cant wait for a broke summer :-(

might be worth getting a second job at a gas station just for discounts... gas station employees do get discounts right?
hehehe

I saw $4.50/gallon for Diesel over the weekend. I can afford to ride, I just can't afford to get the boat to/from the lake. Ha, ha, ha.

I never understood why gas on the water costs more then gas off? besides the fact that the marina wants to make more. It should be cheaper since there should be no road taxes on it since boats only operate on the water.

I wonder what delta gas is gonna cost this summer? I sometimes will get gas at Union Point, or Tiki, It'll prolly be 5 bucks this summer for sure.

Screw it, who wants in on buying a gas truck this summer?

Someone told me one time that the marinas pay heavy taxes to the government in case of a spill. Could be totally untrue. I can't imagine too much money in it for an owner as its seasonal for the most part.

There is a seperate marine fuel tax that you have to pay to fuel on the water. It sucks but it beats paddling.

Generally speaking, an employee discount for gas station attendees (if such a discount even exists) is at cost so you're only saving $.05 - $.10 per gallon at most. Look on the bright side though. With food costs also skyrocketing, it'll be a lot easier to snag that $.10 per gallon discount for spending $100 or more at the grocery store. :-)

the one here on our river has to charge more because the pump he uses is twice the size of the one at a normal station. And he has a huge tax for incase of a spill. thats the bulk of it. but im best friends with his son so i get a pretty good break.
