Hey, I'm coming down to Shasta from Portland area in a few weeks and can't find any good info on water levels, conditions, etc... Anyone got any first hand knowledge they can share?

Also, are there any good beaches on the Sacramento arm (good places to set up a day camp) while you board?

I was out this weekend and the lake is pretty low. If you look around you should be able to find a spot to setup an easy-up ect.....We camped at the Jones Valley inlet and it wasnt too bad. Water is still pretty cold, maybe high 50's low 60's and hardly any debris on the lake for this time of year.

Water level is 1007 feet. hopefully we can get another 15- 30 feet from the snow pack. If the level is 1022 or above then it usually is ok for obstacles as long as you stay in the normal areas. Squaw creek arm probibly has the most obsticles b/c that was the arm they never really finished clearing out when designing the lake, but when water is high riding conditions are very good.
