Anybody have any good tricks to get fiberglass resin, cloth etc to adhere to aluminum? Chemicals, surface treatment etc?

Thanks,
Jim

Try a mag wheel cleaner for non-clear coated wheels. This should clean and etch the aluminum. It will turn it to a bright satin color. Do that after you skuf it with the sandpaper. GOOD LUCK on you're project.

Thanks for the advice, I think the mag cleaner helped a bit. Any other thoughts or ideas?

Jim,
severly rough up the surface of the alum, other than that without knowing the project, I don't know what else to suggest.

If you could provide some details, I think a bunch of us could definately chime in with some help.

I don't have any pics yet just thoughts, but I will post some pics if the project materializes.

Thanks again for the suggestions.
