I just finished installing Ridesteady GPS in my 2006 Sanger V210 with Black Scorpion. Justin at Hydrophase was great to deal with and provided great support. He knows his product and boats. I called him at least six times and he picked up the phone every time except for once. I left a message and he called me back in 15 minutes. This is a big deal when you are upside down in a tight place on the boat. The instructions that come with the unit are also excellent and include photos.
A couple of guys about installing on a V210 and V215 so here you go. The V210 with Black Scorpion is a more difficult install than your typical one due to the location of the throttle cable and linkage on this engine, both of which are not on top of the engine. There is no room for the Ridesteady control motor on the exhaust hose at the elbow because there is only about an inch or two between it and the engine cover.
Here are some photos of my install in order of below.
1. Ridesteady control motor and throttle linkage
2. 12V constant, 12V switch and ground under dash. Really nice that Sanger did this. Made attaching Ridesteady wires easy although I forgot to take photo after I attached them to the posts.
3. Ridesteady CPU installed past the foot rest under dash.
4. Control unit on dash and GPS module located in front of dash. Forgot to take the green protective tape off the control unit.
5. Close up of throttle linkage with Ridesteady control cable installed.
