The wife and I bought a new boat. 2006 maristar 245. It's fully loaded with everything so it's basically a loaded x45. Best part is an 8.1 with 140hrs and 1 owner. Anyway we aren't fans of the plain Jane look of it so were putting a wrap on it. We've narrowed it down to a few. What d you'll think about these choices. FYI dont reccomended a wrap with skulls.

We're looking at the colors being white grey black and an accent color of maybe green or red

I definitely prefer No2 Red. I know wraps arent permanent, but I've also seen really loud wraps hurt the sale of a boat. So I think the middle wraps make a statement without being overbearing.

Red is universally liked. Green is a love it or hate it. I love it. My wife hates it.

Right now were leaning towards 3, the small picture is the way we would go, expect maybe green instead of red

The small #3 (red) isnt bad. Personally, I think the rainbow is hideous.

I would like to mention we didn't pick the colors in these samples. Just what was shown on the site. Haha

1) in grey
2) either color
3) in red and grey.

No particular order.

I really like 2 followed by 3. Not a fan of 1. The 2 and 3 designs are very cool, colors are of course your preference.

I like #2 in green but #3 in green would probably look good too.

We've looked at hundreds and these are we're the ones we like. Not looking for anything really crazy or with skulls/ weird creatures and that crap.

No offense, but I never understood why anyone would pay big money for a wrap with the manufacturers name on it. Unless Mastercraft is paying for the wrap, why have their name on it? If you plan to keep the boat a while, put your name on it. If you plan to sell in the near future, just go with graphics. I highly doubt the lack of the Mastercraft name plastered on the side affects resale.

#2 in green by far. #1 and #3 were awful IMO. But hey, as long as you like! Congrats on the new boat btw!

I'd recommend something with skulls.

#1 will be a wrap you will still be happy with 3 years down the road.
The other wraps look pretty trendy and will be Old hat next month when Neon is out.

I like #1 of the three options. I think it might look good in shades of blue as well.

2-3-1

If it ends up "going out of style". Peel it off n start over. Entire purpose if a wrap. Keep it fresh.

How much do wraps cost?
Old     (GoinBoarin)      Join Date: Mar 2013       03-26-2013, 5:31 AM Reply
The local wrap companies want around $2500. The wraps from sirlin I was told you order from your MC dealer and they send a installer and charge around 5k. It all depends on how big your boat is and how much of it your wrapping. Either way I go they use top notch 3m vinyl and have 5yr warranties.

I would keep looking. It has to be something that will stay in style for awhile. I know it can be peeled off but it's a $2500 sticker.
