I noticed my left channel tower speakers had really low output compared to the right channel. The amp only runs the tower. I swapped speaker wires at the amp, and the symptom moved to the other side. I swapped the RCA inputs to the amp and the trouble stayed on the same side. To me, that says the amp has a fried channel. Is there anything else I should check before I buy a new amp?

The balance at the head unit?

No it wouldn't be the head unit as I understood Dan to say he swapped around RCA's. Just out of curiousity, does the amp have seperate gain controls? If so check that. Otherwise my guess would be that yes the amp is prob done for. Just had mine do the same thing.

No separate gain controls - looks like I'm shopping for a new 300W+ 2 channel amp. Thanks guys.
