Hey guys. New to inboards and am looking a purchasing a Supra but I don't know if I am getting a good deal or getting the shaft. Tell me what you think. I found a new 2008 leftover at a dealer. It is a launch 20ssv. The specs are listed below. It has swivel racks and bimini but no tower speakers. Bow, cockpit covers and a trailering cover. Obviously I still get the 5 year warranty from my date of purchase (something that appeals to me vs buying used).

Dealer is asking 42,995.00 I was planning to offer 40-41.
Thoughts?

Way to address the question Paul. Good job. Excellent work.

...back on topic, the price seems on target. Make sure you drive it and ride behind it, I wasn't a fan of the wake with the factory ballast but I'm sure it can be dialed in, I'd only rode behind it one time on a whim so it wasn't a fair gauge.

Seems about right. They were getting close to 50K for them new then and they are accounting for a few years of not selling. nice thing is you still get warranties and all the new boat perks...
Post pics and let us know how it goes. Good luck

Sounds Like a decent deal. I have the same boat and have it loaded up w/ extra ballast. Sack under the seats in the bow, and two additional bags in the back, with the factory 1350. About 2500 in a 20 footer. Puts out a good wake for a little boat.

I would offer 38k. Only reason is, is i've heard of people getting 2009 21v's for 43 k with a pretty loaded boat. If they don't want to sell it then that's fine, but at least now you have more to bargain with possibly than what you would if you offered 41k. I would justify that to the dealer then too, I don't know there situation, but they might do it. I like my Supra a lot besides some minor things.

I agree... I've seen several 21Vs 08-09 going around this price... I would go in at 38k... The worst thing they are going to say is no and maybe counter at 40 which is still less then you are planning to offer now.

Yup I agree w/ Andrew and John. I paid 43k for my 2k9 21V back August with 2.5 hrs on it. How many hours are on the 08? Did they use it as a demo? Timing wise it sucks because i would think this is there prime time to sell a boat.

It might be prime time. But that thing sat through 2 prime times already. I'd think that the dealer would be willing to just about give it away by now.
