Hi, I'm new here, but i've been reading alot of post and still not 100% sure of my decision.. I have a moomba outbackV 2008 buy new 52k canadian money(CAD) and I'm gonna change it at the end of the season. I do alot of wakesurf now, probably 80% surf, 20% wakeboard. Surfing with my moomba is crap. I'm looking for a small boat that will makes a good surfwave with no obligation to bring 10 people in, and with which I'll do some air tricks. Important points:
- good for surf, ok for wake
- 20ft. Maybe 21' but 22ft. doesn't store in my garage.
- best bang for the buck. budget : 70-80k CAD (55-65k USD)
I don't want an "old" boat, mostly 2012+, because I want to keep it long. Reliability and not aging problems. My decision stopped on Axis A20 2015-16. It's my range of price, nobody own one where I'm at. I tested drived last week and like the design, the driving is good. The boat is new. Its a positive point. There's a lot of dealer, so no problem for services and warranty. Surfgate looks great (never tried it on the surf). I've been looking for supreme too, but I'm not capable to find any dealer centurion/supreme near, I don't know why It's so hard to find supreme in the province! I'm not sure I want a boat that I can't go anywhere for warranty or any problems... A brand new moomba maybe, but I prefer change, I think surfgate is a better option. Wakesetter are way to expensive, Tigé same thing.. I think it's better to have a brand new 2016 Axis then a 2010 centurion, with no warranty.. Thats my opinion, whats yours? I'm open If you have any other suggestion! I need your help all! Thank you very much, I'm so confused right now.

I've got a 2016 Axis A20 I bought (lower end of your USD price range!) with surf gate, wedge stock ballast + PNP (800s rear, some other bag in front). We have fun surfing with just stock ballast and a couple of people in the front of the boat. I don't have any real complaints about the boat itself. It handles chop well and drives fine. The base engine is fine for pulling people out of the water with ballast full and wedge down. It won't win any top speed awards (I have the base prop on it as well). I have more complaints about the trailer. Misaligned bunks and crappy paint so it was rusting all over the place the first week I had it. Warranty is 5 years, it sounds like dealer is going to eventually fix it (or have it fixed at a trailer/body shop). Also wiring on the trailer is terrible, with bare/exposed wires hanging out in a couple of spots. Since it's new and under warranty they will have to fix it. It wouldn't be a big issue if my dealer was better.

Surf wave is great, wakeboard wake is great, clean even at like 15 mph (10 year old son got up and stayed up yesterday, it was fantastic). I think you'll be happy with the boat. Make sure to get a 2016 so you get the 5 year warranty. Friend of mine bought a leftover 15 and they threw in a 4y extended warranty for free so that is also an option I guess.

Thank you very much saberworks! I will pay attention on the trailer like you said and make sure its on the warranty. And its exactly what the dealer offer me. a '15 A20 fully loaded. soundpack 3, 6.0L engine, extended plug n play, everything. The colormatch trailer with KMC wheels, maybe the paint make a difference on rust issues.. (I wish!), With 4y extended warranty. I think i will take the deal, if i buy a '16 im gonna take the stock stock one so i maybe prefer have a '15 topline at the same price. I would like some centurion, supreme or mastercraft comments too!

Not sure where you are in Canada but extreme gets great reviews from the guys up north Supreme over axis if you primarily surf. Better wake and better fit and finish. The s211 or s21 will fit your size needs as well as a new model soon to be released.

Tige R20 or RZR if surfing is your thing. Best wave out there for a 20ft boat for sure. I have rode on them all except the new GS20.
