Its pretty easy, its all in how you loop the rope. Take note of the back hand flip to get it to lock. Learned it back in the day working the docks of Bidwell Marina on Lake Oroville.

Apparently its easier than I thought. Maybe I'll just hire this chick to ride around with me and tie up whenever I dock.

I live just down the intercoastal from Frenchys and go there almost once a week. I just wanna point out that lady is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is very professional and extremely good at moving around boats on a dock not made for more than 10 yet she fits 15 no problem. Its quite amazing.
