I mean winter seems to drag and stay around forever. Have you ever noticed this? I get stoked for summer and all of the sudden I blink and it's August and the kids are buying back to school stuff. The women start to cover up the water goes cold and I get shrinkage. I don;t want to be a bummer I was just thinking about this today.

Sometimes I wished I lived in AZ just for that reason, but we try to go through Oct and try to start around March, It makes a long season, But still I know what you mean
And the snow season just cost to much, 200.00 easy for all 4 of us a day

I'm with Jon. Everytime about this year I start looking forward to the ski sales over Labor day, and then it's only another 1 1/2 mos. usually til ski season starts. I've already been on the ski websites to see if they've posted opening dates. Wakeboarding has been fun this summer, but for me, summer is pretty much just that annoying time between ski seasons!!

Full wetsuit till you catch pnuemonia, then snowboard till you sweat and fall in mud!!!

I love the water after Labor Day...no crowds or drunk stupids...and nice early Fall glass....plus I don't burn my ass on the black accents on my seats!

I'm w/ Ken on this one. I was talking about this last weekend, some mountains are charging upwards of 75 bux per lift ticket. Who the hell can afford to ride a lot when prices are getting so high? And that doesnt include the gas to get there and food/drinks either.

Snowboarding doesn't compare to being on the water IMO. There's just something about getting up early on a summer morning and chilling in the boat, ripping the butter with a few of your buddies. There's nothing quite like it, and thinking about those times are what pulls me through winter, which is quite a long ordeal where I'm at

For me, spring and fall drag on, but summer AND winter fly by. I'm already starting to transition into skiing mode. Just thinking about it a little so far, but by October, it will be almost to obsession level.... kind of like late april when I start obsessing about wakeboarding. I love the changing of the seasons.

Dan,

Move down here (or San Antonio). It may not be summer all year, but we ride pretty much all year. You know you can store your boat at my pad. Just not too close to my Bu. Don't want that yellow rubbing off on my red!

Daniel,

You do realize it's August 8th right?

Medford has good boarding through the end of September correct?

My simple knowledge of math says you have at least eight more weeks of riding before it gets too cold.

Sorry Daniel, you're too far north. Sac area temps are 90s all week. Make a trip down to CA.

I think everyone should pack it up for the winter and leave the butter for the rest of us. BTW, nice one Fox!

I have a goal to board year round....whether it's wake, snow, or skateboarding around beer cans in my driveway at night! I will be riding.
