Did you hit sliders? If not, you can get this take care of under warranty.

yes it has happened to me. only once though. most of mine have snapped in half or had the inserts rip out. take it to your local board shop and they should be able to swap it out on the spot for you as long as they have one in stock

sounds like the obrien R5 is gona start getting a larger crowd, especially with its warranty that is not void after sliders.

but i wonder if there is a clause that specifically defines what a "slider" is ;)

Get an O'brien R5 that will not happen. No wood in the construction so no delaminatoin. And as Jeremy said we have a full slider warranty, I dont think any one else in the industry is doing that right now. But it just makes sense why make something for hitting rails, then as soon as you do no more warranty.

Im waitin on my local right now but as far as I can see you cant go wrong with the obrien flex line! The warranty on the R5 and the prices for the technology your getting just cant be beat in my opinion!!!

i actually had a little bit of delamination start on mine as well. not much, but i caught it pretty early. i've got it taped off, lightly sanded, and two nice coats of urithane on those rails to keep that bottom sheet nice and snug on there. Home improvement baby. ** Tim Allen sound**
