Okay it has been about 5 months since I landed my one and only Whirly. I went to the Wakeboard Camp in Clermont, FL last week. We worked on a lot of techniques for perfecting my Tantrum. Didn't try very many Whirlies. Then when I got back it took me a bit to get used to our boat again, but the very first Whirly I tried I landed making it my second to land. The next day I rode again and landed the very first one I tried again. So a big thanks to the guys at the Wakeboard Camp.

The neighbor kid took the video, spent all day making it into a production. I told him the stuntman wasn't bad but he really needed to dump the actor. . .

Nice video, is that one of your handbuilt boards? Do you have any photos chronicling one of your board builds?

Yes it is one of my hand built boards, just a plywood one though. The whirly is a strange move. Intuitively you would think you have to throw the tantrum harder and higher, where in reality you have to really back off on the cut. And now I always know when there is too much line tension because the spin is super fast as it unwinds you.

I would think it is even more gratifying to stick a trick on a board that you built with your own hands.
