prop for 08 sanger v215

hey guys just dinged my prop during launch today which was a bummer cause it was 80 and glass

Either way I want to get a new prop and use the stock as a spare. Any suggestions for a good hole shot, mainly wakeboarding and wake surfing (has been leaning towards surfing lately. Any suggestions?

635 or 911, I use the 635 and it yanks with 2500 lbs.

Yeah what he said. Just looked in the archive and it seems:
525 for stock ballast
635 for up to 2.5k total
911 for slumped to the rub rail.

What is the size of the 635?

Pretty sure they mean 653 - 13x11.5 .060cup

Oh yes, 653. Didn't think that looked right!

The 525 is 13x11.5 with .080 cup.

I called acme and they recommended the 653, which is one level down from the factory prop. Anyone know ballpark what it is going to cost and where to buy it from?

Oops got a little dyslexic there...I got mine at Tacoma prop but according to google the best price is Nettle prop I'd call em to get a feel for the company though. If Karl is the same money I'd support a WW'er first though.

I bought an Acme from Karl a couple years ago.
Think it was right around $400.00 with shipping, and it arrived in only a couple days!

what would the differences in performance be between the 653 and the 911? would I burn more or less fuel with either one. Truth be told the factory prop works well, so I would think the 653 would be quicker out of the hole for what I need. However maybe the 911 would be even better?? At what point is too much?

did you notice a fuel consumption gain or loss with the 911 over factory, lets say unloaded and loaded.

depends on what you are doing. If you have a 911 and do lots of starts and stops with a top speed of 25. Your fuel consumption will be better then if you had the stock prop. Now if you are running your boat across the lake all day at 35mph with the 911 your fuel consumption will be worse then the stock prop. So figure out what your needs are and then make a decision. Like I said before, I prefer the 911 prop over stock, even with out the extra weight. But I am a wakeboarder and we ride most of the time. I don't go on joy rides. I hope that makes sense.
