Timeshare on multiple boats...possible?

My problem is I like to do too many things. I like to wakeboard from time to time but also like to ride a jet ski and some days just wanna hop onto a cabin cruiser and relax. Some days it would be nice to take a fountain out and run 90 but I am not a millionaire.

I think there are more and more people like me that have no intentions of paying there boat off but rather just pay the monthly payments and then sell it a couple years down the road for basically what you owe on it.

My idea is to have a company or somehow a way to network with others that would want to do the same thing as I do....Possibly have 4 or 5 boats and pay a monthly fee(500/month?) and have access to numerous boats: wakeboard, cabin cruiser, performance boat etc...

Anyone know anything like this or is this even possible?

There was a guy in the NW who did this a couple years ago (when the economy was good).... seems like he was in Portland or Seattle but I don't recall exactly. He had an MC X-star, a class A RV, a pair of PWCs, and it seems like he had or had plans to get some ATVs &/or sleds.
The issues that came up were insurance, getting the toys you wanted for the weekends you had plans, maintenance & repairs, etc.
Not sure how it panned out. Or how to even find them. At first glance it seems like a cool idea. But what if one guy wrecks the X-star? Or blows up the PWC? Then everyone is stuck with a big bill to get it going again.

There is a guy out of the Tri-cities in Washington State that is doing something similar to what you are suggesting. I am not sure how well it is working, but he has been doing it for a little over a year.

I know several people who belong to the club and they love it.

It should be noted that the boats are very easy to spot on the lake and are one of the major sources of people on the lake that don't know how to drive a boat!

Boat clubs or co-ownerships are kind of like sex, good in concept, but the satisfaction with these arrangements all depend on who you team up with.
