I was excited when Trevor told me he was doing this trick again http://trevorhansen.com/2009/09/trevor-double-roll/

What are some tricks you guys would want to see riders doing again? Maybe we could get some new variations from the old tricks.

The trick I wanna see again is Randals "Remix" He used to do a wrapped front mobe, grabbed mute off the dub and it was so sick. Bring that one back for sure. There are a few vids he does it in.

Double flips are going to be the new 1080. Just watch and see what goes down this next year.

I saw it on the Ripley's Believe It or Not episode that featured Phil Soven. It was crazy to watch but I havent seen it in ages. Wish there was a link to it :-(

A dum dum 5 would be sick. The double half cab has always been a favorite of mine. I have always wanted to see a temper tantrum and I wish there was better footage of the double back mobe that Parks has done.

Double flips are the new black. Everyone wants one right now.

I believe that parks does a temper tantrum in the movie that is in wakeboarding unleashed or its someone else but pretty sure its him.
Old     (srh00z)      Join Date: Jun 2003       09-13-2009, 9:40 PM Reply
I think that is a double half cab in wakeboarding unleashed. The second flip in his double half cab is a Tantrum type rotation whereas the first flip looks more like a roll.

I never saw anything wrong with the blender. Now with wrapped tricks back in vogue, they can come back.

Robby Struharik used to do a gigantic roll to revert with nose grab and than at the last second before landing switched back to regular. It was like the sickest "simple" trick with a super long grab. I'll see if I can dissect one of my old videos and toss it up here.

Also, love a LEGIT elpehant. Not a front roll with a tiny tweak. Like necrassen style or even shaprio's.

Jason,

I do those all the time, the big joke around my crew is we call it a Nose Grab Roll-ephant! But I have to admit I striaght stole it from Robby Stru

Free 4 All has a sick overhead view of that trick from Struharik.

I love Necrason's Elephants. He takes them way out into the flats. I am also a big fan of wrapped tricks, we have been seeing more of those lately. Shane's last trick was wrapped and Rathy's BS 10's were wrapped.

Hasselhoff!! (front flip to blind) No one can do this better than Shapiro. He use to take them so big and into the flats.

haha, Andy, that rollephant name is from the old INT trick list. When sending rolls into the flats, I used to load up so hard that it would throw me alost to revert every time so I always had to pull it back. I got clowned for it a little back then and while I called it a shifty roll, the guys I rode with called it a rollephant. So we are all out riding a tournament in the mid\late 90's and I throw it in the tournament. Back then it was on a points system and INT was still building their trick list. So every time someone did a trick they didnt know, they would ask what it was, give it a point value, and add it to the master list. Unfortunately, they asked some of my friends and, clowning me, they told em it was a rollephant. From then on, I would see it on points lists and laugh.

Jason,

Great story man. I due think that's where my buddies got the name from. Being in the game the last 15 years I loved watching the INT trick list grow every year. I figured them out one day like 5 years ago we had a little friendly "rewind" contest as we called it. We tried to do as many tricks as we could Elephant Style and rewind the landing before we stuck it down. It was super Fun, kinda cool to see how many trick you can rewind like and elephant, TS OA FS 540 to 360, TS Backroll To revert/rego, TS HS 5 to 3. Man I remember trying crazy isht like a Kypt back to rego and getting just owned that day.

How 'bout Shapiro's Iron Cross???

Andy, that sounds fun!! For the record, Mine didnt look near as cool as Stru made it. Back then, on my skinny Lavelle boards, you had to come in hot in order to go big on the outside. So mine were all overloaded and blown way out the back. I'm 6'6", so it looked like a bunch of knees and elbows going every which way.

i had a kneeboard instructional video cant remeber the name. but it had a couple of pro rider sections before the instructional bits in which one of the guys did a 1080! only kneeboarder to be able to do a 1080 apparently! he was double or maybe even triple wrapped he was also on a trick release for saftey so yeah like a yo yo hahahahaha.

Disclamer: the only times iv been on a kneeboards was for kneeboard battles. i have no idea why i had an instructional video.

shapiros iron cross is basically a wrapped up moby dick. if he grabbed it, it would be the same as shane melon wrapped bs oa 7. iron crooss is a sick trick but would be rad if it was grabbed mute

The nice thing about the iron cross is how the body opens up starfish style off the wake, grabbing it would totally spoil the effect IMO.

I forgot what it is called, but I did one on accident once, it is basically a half whirly bird. Or a tantrum to blind with the backside 180 ole style. Someone told me that a pro (i think shane) use to do them
