So.. After serious thought.. I was wondering if the Slingshot board you ride.. Either recoil or response.. Would the rocker make a difference since the board flexes so much... I mean.. This is just a thought because if you think about it.. the 3 stage board could flex goin up the wake when you load the board and turn continuous.. True or un-true??.. Not tryin to start a huge argument.. But just curious.. Im 6 foot tall.. and weigh about 160-165.. i was lookin at the response 137.. big fan of white mostly.. any other tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated..

Yeah, it seems the rockers to make a difference. I haven't ridden the recoil but I've heard its a bit slower, but more poppy then the response. The recoil also lands a little harder. Also for your height and weight go atleast with the 142, if not the 145 Response. You won't regret it.

hmm. ok I haven't ridden the recoil but my friend still says it will land hard. But maybe not? I know my response doesn't always land the softest in the flats.

They both pop great and land SOFT! But the response is faster and looser.

142?!?!?!?! that sounds way too large for me.. i just dumped a murray 138 because i wanted something smaller.. would the board be harder to butter around on if it is smaller???

Im 6' and 175 and my last two boards were 132/134 and the 142 recoil feels perfect

The Murray 138 is way to 'boat-ish' for anyone- if your referring to the board with the extreme rocker.

im 6' 161.5 lbs and ride the 142 recoil. I normally don't ride anything bigger than 139 (most my boards 137) but the slingshots are so light and thin that i didn't even notice the extra size... except for the fact that i felt i got more air with the larger size ;)

as for rocker, I am totally one to agree that slingshot boards are some sort of "hybrid" in a sense for reasons you have mentioned, but i am not sure if the recoil (3-stage model) turns into a continuous rocker or not.

In one of the first vids introducing slingshot Jeff McKee mentioned that the response flexed a bit more than the recoil. 3 stage boards have been known to land a bit "harder" than continuous, so this might bring out the idea that the response lands "softer" than the already super-soft-landing recoil.

But.. will the smaller size effect the flex charactoristics????

smaller would just mean less overall flex

im just confused soo bad.. its weird.. i guess its just me.. i strapped into my buddies 142 premier.. i know its not the same.. but just to compare for size.. and it felt like a surfboard.. im still learing spinss.. and havent got a 3 yet.. i think that the 142 would just make it that much more harder for me

There is almost ZERO swing weight on the 142
