You might want to post what you like in a board. The riders can suggest what board for what you like. Do you like a fast or slow board? ECT.

People say I am bias to CWB, but what you described is an Absolute all the way. Not to fast, not to slow, with alot of pop. I would say at least demo all the boards and see what you like the best. Dont limit youreself to L.F. only. Just my opinion. The Absolute comes in a 135. Late.

well, i probably would demo all the boards, but theres no shops anywhere here that i know of that demo boards, there arnt even any boardshops at all, i live in North Carolina, and ride at lake gaston in virginia, so im basing my entire decision on opinions pretty much, so if i could get some more, that would be great

I would agree with Jeff on the Absolute. Or even the old Absolute (Flame or Pure).

LF Substance hands down -- i have rode and demoed many of them and the substance is what i ride daily... from edging to the release off the wake to "soft" landings in the flats....

Jonathan, where do you ride on gaston? do you ever log onto http://www.endofropegang.com My parents have a place on pea hill creek. I know it wasn't one of your selections....I would reccomend the LF Omega. Take your EVO and mix it with a substance. For the most part it reminds me of the substance but I love this board. If it is good enough for Ben Greenwood (Alliance Magazine's rider of the year) then it is good enough for me. Let me know if you ever would like to try it. I ride on Gaston most weekends.

hey Jonathan I started a new thread before I saw your thread I ride an evo also feel like I've outgrown it I am hoping that someone who has demo-ed alot of boards will share the tendencies of some of them....to cut down on # of boards to choose from I always have a knack of choosing a board or ski that doesn't really fit my style or type...or worse...one that feeds my poor technique rather than helps correct it good luck.........

I rode a 2002 Evolution 138 for several years and about two months ago bought a Substance. In my opinion, the two boards ride very similar prior to hitting the wake. The approach feels the same to me. Once you hit the wake the similarities end. The additional vertical pop is very noticeable. If you want a board that rides like your EVO, but has much greater pop, then the Substance may be the board for you. Just my opinion.
