I'm going to be installing a new AGM battery in my 2002 X-Star that is about an inch longer than the battery that's installed now. Anybody cut the floor to make the length a little longer? Haven't even looked under the carpet or battery box yet, just thought I'd ask before I started. Thank you for any advice.

What battery you going with?

Make sure you know what's behind the area you're cutting and be prepared to build a tray and hold down or put the right size battery box in to keep it secure. Where's the battery on your boat?

Could also relocate to vdrive lockers, under spectator seat, front seats if you need some weight up there. Could build a wall in front of drivers footwell... lot of options
