I love the tower and that looks like the biggest interior I have ever seen.

nice, that is a damn large boat! I'm on the fence with that new tower, not sure if I like it or not. I can't believe that guy put his board on right on the vinyl of the right rear locker...

The boat drives great, and the looks are really sharp. The boats seats are the most comfortable that I have ever been in, the new drivers seat adjusts to any height that you prefer easily. Am really impressed with the storage and the new seating arrangement. The new racks are a COMBO surf/board rack which will hold either wake or surf board. Behing the drivers helm is a nice deep ice cooler with a drain. Supra has set the bar with this boat!

I think that is the best of 2011 boats I have seen!!!

I love that boat so friggin' much. Saw it on the lake this past weekend, looked even better in person.

Wow very sweet.... Everything about it looks pretty sweet. Can't wait to see one soon.

I'm glad they are finally changing the seatting lay out. The one things I never really liked with the Supra's was how the seat wrapped behind the driver to be a rear facing seat. I know it's great for the fact of watching a rider but to me it just took up too much room and made the lounge area feel smaller. The only other thing that may stop me from looking at a Supra is how the bow turns down so much. The lake at our summer house can get real nasty in a hurry and that bow looks like it would dunk real easily. Otherwise that is one slick looking boat.

I like the layout of the interior but damn that boat looks like a huge banana slug. Not a fan of the lines at all. Maybe it is the color scheme on it though?

holy LINES. I love the styling of it... not sure about an entire stereo deck on the transom though.
same hull or have they changed things up?

Not a huge Skiers Choice fan, but way to go on this one - very nice! How much I wonder - will it reach $100K as shown?

Red, Black, and White seem to be the popular colors to introduce the 2011 boats. Brings me back to the days at UGA.

Overall it looks good, but that head unit looks lost on the transom, not to mention all the potential functional problems with placing one in the most bumped and wettest parts of the boat.

+1 for best 2011 boat so far

loves: tower, laid down windsheild. adjustable height seat

hates. pleated rear seat, color break lines look like a UFO from the side. and the boat already has that shape too. thin tips, fat center. grab handles near speakes. never understood that. dark upper seat back and sundeck are going to be sizzling in texas heat.

over all kick ass. way better lookign that the 11 MCs
Old     (razzman)      Join Date: Dec 2006       07-21-2010, 11:22 AM Reply
I doubt that an HU on the transom, probably some type of new remote. I also suspect it's a whole new hull design as the lines are completely different from the 24V.

wake pics, its gotta be nutty, talk about a wakeboarding party machine

That's not a head unit on the transom, it's the wired remote.

That is a nce boat. Adjusting seat, great feature. Really like the new tower too.

The pictures don't do it justice, this boat's interior is gorgeous in person. Drives like a dream too

I want one. Looks like they shortened the bow to make more room in the back.

"I can't believe that guy put his board on right on the vinyl of the right rear locker..."

I'm almost certain that is Trevor Hansen. He's a Supra rider so they could take it out of his pay if he did any damage (I'm sure he didn't).

The interior looks massive. I never understood the appeal of a transom remote.

WOW that thing is huge looking! The inside is large also, but it looks like they moved the helm forward, and took room out of the bow.

Its about dang time for the adjustable drivers seat! I hope all the other manufacturers will catch on!

Me either, until I wanted to change to song while we were all swimming, had to get out and all the way in the boat. Would have been useful then

Nice work, SC. It looks beautiful. Somebody else mentioned a shorter bow, looks like the sun-pad is shorter too like the 22.
Old     (you_da_man)      Join Date: Sep 2009       07-22-2010, 8:44 AM Reply
Great looking boat...looks like it has potential to take rollers over the bow though. Even with three guys on the back, the bow sits pretty low.
Old    TN22            07-22-2010, 10:05 AM Reply
I drove it and tried to sink the bow and I couldn't, but I guess it depends on how much ballast and weight is in the front and whether the driver knows what they're doing or not. The paint scheme kind of adds to the sloped look of the bow, but if you look at it compared to the old 24, there is almost no difference.

Looks like a 24v with a Axis tower.I wonder how much is spent on cosmetic r&d verses usefull mechanical advancement.

Hmm... After seeing this and the thread about Moomba adding the Illusion X towers. It seriously goes to show ya that Malibu is top of the line because everyone seems to be following what malibu is doing with their boats. And I must say, the 247 is A LOT bigger inside then the Supra 242. I've always hated that seat behind the drivers seat. I will say if I couldn't have a Malibu. A Supra would be my second choice!

Beautiful boat, I can only imagine how big of a wake that will throw. Does anyone know about ballast size? surfing wake? There are some great options on that boat, the adjustable seat is brilliant, Z-5, and the progressive tower looks strong and functional. I really like how the expanded the seating area, with what appears to be smaller ski lockers. Would be cool to see one in a different color.

Nice build Skiers Choice, way to set the bar!

NICE BOAT i got to ride behind a supra 22 foot worlds edition with factory ballast and 5 people on the boat . owner only had 70 foot rope. but at 23.9 wake was clean . i got booted higher than mastercraft, mb, malibu and my tige. the wake is BIG.Its not that wide though. passengers said i got 8' to 10' of air,all i know is that is the hardest landings i've had only a couple of more boats to try the wakes on . this boat would be great for wake to wake rider. the supra seems to be good quality. i was very impressed with the holeshot. i told owner to take me out the hole slow [i pro start].i thought it was under powered then. when i drove it he said take off easy i tried but i about took his arms off . i was better on second try and finally on third try barely moving throttle he said that was good.overall great boats. just like mentioned above mostly likes but some dislikes about the boat. GREAT BOATS ,GREAT POWER,GREAT BIG STEEP WAKES!

This is not a new tower for '11, it was available on the 10s as well. I love Malibu's, but this industry is full of "copy cats". You do what sells, whether it is the LCD screens, tower shape, etc.

Oh, and that boat looks great! It's crazy to me how little the 24 footers make the trailers look!

Have you seen the video Trevor Hansen did on the 242? The Hang 10 they do at the end is pretty awesome!

looks like they reused the 24ssv (24v) hull, modifie the seating and sunpad and called it an all "new" boat. I guess they can't afford to really do a redesign in this market so they figure that will pass. Wait, don't tell me, I bet there is a price increase for the "new" boat. I could not be less impressed.

Tre,

The hull and deck are complete new tooling. And the base price did not increase

I thought the bow looked really low as well...then I watched the video. If you'll pay attention they have a HUGE bag across the front playpen. I'm guessing that might be the reason it looks so low in the water cause if you look at the pic where it's moving, there is plenty of clearance.

Does this paint scheme seem a little bulged at the middle? I feel like a straighter line above the rub rail would make it look a little better. What do you think, I photoshopped it...
