this might have something to do with my other post. i have two small dings in the prop...is this something i should replace asap or is it okay to leave...i don't notice any vibrations while cruising

Vibration is the big concern... If you are so lucky to have dings but no vibration, I think you'll be ok for a bit. but be careful.. I ran mine a few weeks before replacing..

dings on the blade are easily repaired, bends at the root of the blade are more challenging. As the man said, vibrations wearing on your drivetrain are the issue--these vibrations need not be big given enough time.
