Check out this video of Audis lighting concepts. How cool would some of this lighting be in or on a boat. It's a little to Disco for a car but in a boat it would be magic!

Lame. Apparently VW does not understand the purpose of external lighting. Simple LED strip lights work fine for boat interior lighting. Epic already has nifty hull lighting covered. Not sure if it's problematic for hull maintenance and repair.

^^^^ that EPIC ^^^^^^ is very cool. Im supprised that MC and Bu and others never copied the Hull lighting that Epic came out with. I think it's very cool and I'm surprised we never saw more of it or details about it???

I saw lots of similar versions at SEMA last month. Lots of LED lights you can change colors from your phone and such. I can't imagine they will let those fly as they could be a distraction to other drivers. I think it is BA so I would love to have something like that on my SRT8!

That Epic is very cool. Looks great on the water at night.
Only problem is that it would be illegal if you were out on the water at night and unsafe for other boaters.

It is pretty amazing where the LED business is heading and the possibilities that are opening up.

I'm imagine biggest issue with using hull lighting while running would be the color... Red was probably a bad choice, and I don't think they offered green on starboard. Not sure that it's illegal so long as it doesn't interfere with nav lights, visibility/blinding other boats, and is not blue?
