Drysuit, are you kidding me? In 52 deg. water you trunk it if the air temp is warm enough. Otherwise it's a wetsuit.

Young people with no brains and more importantly no money trunk it when it's that cold . Old people with brains and more importantly have money prefer to use a drysuit.

The water temp at all the local lakes is about 50, with the air temp around 70 tops and i have been trunking it, just don't fall, if the air was any colder it would be a wetsuit

Trunks! Maybe I'm just an old fashioned minnesota boy, but the last time we use a drysuit it snowed.

Drysuit? We went last year in APRIL trunkin it. Btw i'm in MASS so the lake probable was frozen a few weeks before and temps couldn't have been higher than low 70's. You see, my cousin had just gotten a wakeboard for christmas and we just had to try it out =)

You guys are nuts. IF I have the drysuit, I'm going to use it. I've been out every month of the year, and I just don't see the need to freeze!

the main reason I ask this is that the air temp here is getting into the mid 40's to lower 50's(this is the "real-feel" temperature). I haven't put the boat in the water so I haven't been able to check the temp. of the water on the finder, but the closest water source is a river so it's constantly moving. plus the mountain snow melt coming down doesn't help but make it colder. I could though go to entiat(which was on the cover of the dec. 03" wbm issue), but even though it is considered a lake it is still a river just held back by a dam. Well any-who, I'll just man up with my drysuit, I'm just getting spring fever and want to get my a$$ out there on the water. Boarding season is here!

The 100 degree rule is just for fun, it has no real meaning. Heck, if the water isn't frozen there are days I would go out with a 70-80 degree rule. (Message edited by kstateskier on March 02, 2004)

Wakeman, I'm in Manhattan. I have a buddy that goes to K-State Salina from Syracuse. He always bashed on K-State too. We should definately hook up sometime. We'll talk about it when it warms up a bit. I'm still not ready to de-winterize the boat. Kevin, when does the water get to 56 in Florida. I always heard you guys wore drysuits if the air/water temp was in the 70s!

Nick, there are a couple of local tourneyments put on this year. In fact I believe one is in Kearney. I'll get some information for you, see if maybe we can make it work. By the way... i like the sound of your friend.
