I want to extend a big thank you to all of our sponsors and a special note to Hyperactive Watersports. Hyperactive Watersports have been a long time supporter of wakeboarding in Alberta and as always they were great hosts. Near the end of the tournament we experienced some mechanical issues and before we could blink, Hyperactive had another boat in route to us, we made a quick change out and were able to proceed with the event with the most minor of hiccups.

We were happy to see riders from both Saskatchewan and British Columbia come out. We have been following the national model and have opened up our provincial tour to residents outside of Alberta provided that they are registered with a provincial association (or register with the Alberta association). This is part of a new direction from Water Ski Wakeboard Canada to promote participation from coast to coast.

Our next stop is at Pine Lake this Saturday. Registration will begin at 0830 and cost is $20 (plus provincial membership). This contest will also feature Hydrofoil and Wake Surfing as disciplines.

I hope that some of you can make it!

See you there.

Any riders in Alberta, if you have the opportunity, attend one of the events even just to watch. You will meet a lot of cool people and get to see some great riding.

Even better, enter and ride just for the fun of it. Everyone takes home some swag and it fun to ride behind different boats. Oh and it's only $20 to enter!

Just a reminder that the 3rd stop of the Alberta wakeboard tour is tomorrow at Jackfish Lake. Registration starts at 830, the event is held in conjunction with jackfish lake association and events. The tournament registration will take place at lot#1 at Paramac Point. To get there, take hwy 770 and turn west on TWP RD 521. Cost is $10 and WSWA membership.

Our next stop is this Saturday at Chestermere (20 minutest east of Calgary towards Strathmore) in conjunction with the Chestermere water festival. Registration is between 0830 and 1000 with riding shortly after.

The Water Festival is an all day event that includes vendors, musicians, wakeboard contest, boat parade, boat tours, and more. I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces there!
