i know from wakeboard mag that it's release date is may 15th and it will have the same nova core as the sub VI. does anyone know anything else (rocker, sizes, fin config, etc)or have any pics of this board? i am assuming it will be pretty pricey like the sub VI also.

I'll spill.

The boards straight nasty.

Super light, continuous rocker, 4 fins the same config, and same fins as the sub6. The shape is a lot like the sub 6 with a little bit of 3DS is there. Named after his son, Marek, I believe it comes in a 136, 142, and a 146. Rusty straight slams this board, I'm stoked to give it a ride. The graphics were straight promo, so nothing special, and he was rocking the Atlas' with it.

Be ready for something big, this board is sick.

Yeah I definitely want to check out the Marek a few weeks from now. Hopefully it won't be another $700-800 board like the Sub 6.

Rusty used to have his boards specially made. I would think this is still the case. He would snap any regular production board in a second.
Old     (steezyshots)      Join Date: Feb 2008       04-02-2008, 3:43 PM Reply
It will be another 700-800 dollar board like the sub 6 because it will have the same technology. I'll let you know what it rides like when mine gets here!

What happens to the 3DS (Pulse) once the Marek comes out?
Old     (greers_ferry_boats)      Join Date: Dec 2007       04-04-2008, 11:01 AM Reply
The Pulse will probably still be around because the Marek is a D.I.N.E series board so is on a different level than the Pulse. I don't know this for sure but that is what I think and we will be able to order Mareks April 15th and should be in a month after.

So I see. Dustin, your infinite knowledge of Hyperlite and their products never ceases to amaze me. Why if was going to purchase a Hyperlite product, I would look no further than Greers Ferry Marine and ATV.

Well it is all speculation.

the pulse will end up like all the other pro models do, they drop them down the line into the lower end boards for a couple seasons depending on how well they still sell. sometimes the shape goes on forever like the old murray shape which is now a package board.

Hyperlite has got some great new boards out for 08, how many is there now with Rustys new shape 7 or 8 in the 08 lineup?
